The construction of Klaipeda County Police Headquarters was successfully completed on 2 August 2013. The project included construction of two new semi-detached buildings of the same designation. The completed project resulted in Police Headquarters and Detention Facility. The project included plot landscaping, installation of utility network and parking spaces, enclosing and lighting of the entire complex. Furthermore, the Police Headquarters were adapted for people with disabilities. All police units currently working in different locations of Klaipeda, except the Territorial Klaipeda City Police Headquarters, moved to the new building. The area of the 5-storey building is nearly 16 thousand square meters including a 3-storey detention facility with the area of about 2.2 thousand square meters.
